Lets Talk
Marketplace Insurance
Marketplace plans have become the second most common type of health insurance after employer-sponsored group health plans. All plans offered through the Marketplace cover the ten Essential Health Benefits like prescriptions, mental health services, and maternity care.

About 93% of people that receive their insurance through the Marketplace also receive a subsidy to help pay the cost of that plan.
You can enroll in and purchase a plan freely during the Open Enrollment Period at the end of each year, or if you meet certain requirements, such as moving, a change in the number of people in your house, or if you lose your insurance from your job.

Association Health Plans
Association health plans come in many different styles. You pay a new member fee to join the group and then have access to all of the different types of plans offered through that group.
There are plans that cover dental only all the way through name brand insurance company health plans that cover all your health needs.
When looking for qualified health plans, the association is typically more expensive that group coverage because you do not have your job paying part of your premium. For those with higher than average incomes that do not have access to employer-sponsored coverage, you can often find health insurance here that not only cost less but provides a better network than you would find on the Marketplace.
We have access to four separate groups that we use to find the best plans in your area. You can access those groups for yourself to explore your options – just use the code ACIN1769 to gain access.

Private Health Plans
Private health insurance is a group of health plans offered directly through the insurance company. Often times these plans are the same plan that you may buy through the Marketplace or that is offered through your job.

The key difference with these plans is that when you go directly to the insurance company, they are allowed to do a couple of extra things they otherwise would not be allowed to do. First, they can tell you ‘no’ based on your current or past health issues. They can charge you more money if you needed care in the pas. They can put restrictions on the type of care you receive, how often you can receive it, and if you have to wait to use the plan after you bought it. Secondly, employer-based health insurance and plans bought through the Marketplace are subsidized. These plans are not, and they will usually cost more because of that.
Short Term Medical Plans
Short term health insurance provides limited coverage for a limited amount of time. This is insurance purchased from private insurance companies and may not provide all of the same coverage as a Qualified Health Pla. Common exclusions include coverage for pregnancies, prescription medications, or pre-existing medical issues.

Recent Federal changes cap short term health insurance plans at 4 months, including renewals. Premiums are often lower than traditional health plan, but come with higher deductibles and have limits on how much the plan will pay.
Despite these limitations, these plans can be invaluable for people who need coverage for just a short period. Common uses include gaps between coverage in between jobs, waiting for Medicare to start, or those that missed the ACA open enrollment period and need immediate coverage.
