What happens if my income changes during the year?

When your income changes mid-year, you can report these changes to the IRS through your Marketplace account.

If your income rises, you may qualify for less financial assistance, potentially resulting in a repayment of some or all of the subsidy when filing taxes.

If your income falls, you may be eligible for increased tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, or Medicaid/CHIP.
